Relax or be adventurous in picturesque Mallorca.
Mallorca
Mallorca (or "Majorca" in English) isn't all about party resorts like Magaluf. Go to the north, far west or east of the island and experience a different Mallorca. For this diy holiday example, I've chosen Puerto Soller - a small, picturesque port in the north of the island.
Getting There
Easyjet, Ryanair, Thomson Fly and Monarch fly to Palma De Mallorca all year round. Transfers from Palma airport to the resort and return can be arranged or hire a car for more freedom.
Accommodation
Built originally in the 17th. century, the Hotel Es Port is located about 100 meters from the sea at Puerto Soller. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lounge, satellite TV, swimming pools, spa, sauna, jacuzzi, solarium, & tennis courts and offers adventure packages as well. Relax or be active - it's up to you. A winter break needn't cost the earth and rates are reasonable from 51 euros per person per night, based on two sharing a double room. Breakfast is included and their half board supplement is just 16 euros per person.
